- For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

extol him that rideth upon the heavens
by his name Jah, and rejoice before him.
A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows,
is God in his holy habitation. - And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.

yet we did esteem him stricken,
smitten of God, and afflicted. - For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
- Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.
- Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.
- But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the Lord charged you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.
- But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
- For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.
- Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
- And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
- Many are the afflictions of the righteous:
but the Lord delivereth him out of them all. - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
- Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
- Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
- And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
- Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
- He revealeth the deep and secret things:
he knoweth what is in the darkness,
and the light dwelleth with him. - The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice:
and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him. - And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
- If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth.
- If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
- But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
- But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.
