- For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.

- So obey the commands of the Lord your God by walking in his ways and fearing him.
- But the Lord watches over those who fear him,
those who rely on his unfailing love. - The Lord is my strength and shield.
I trust him with all my heart.
He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy.
I burst out in songs of thanksgiving. - I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death.
- The Lord is good,
a strong refuge when trouble comes.
He is close to those who trust in him. - The Lord is like a father to his children,
tender and compassionate to those who fear him. - Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is. And all who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure.
- Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor
and gave him the name above all other names,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth. - Giving a gift can open doors;
it gives access to important people! - What are mere mortals that you should think about them,
human beings that you should care for them? - God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.
- And Jesus said to him, “Go, for your faith has healed you.” Instantly the man could see, and he followed Jesus down the road.
- And while they were there, the time came for her baby to be born. She gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him snugly in strips of cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no lodging available for them.
- We are witnesses of these things and so is the Holy Spirit, who is given by God to those who obey him.
