- But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.
- But I trust in your unfailing love;
my heart rejoices in your salvation.
I will sing the Lord’s praise,
for he has been good to me. - I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
- “Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?” declares the Lord.
“Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the Lord. - And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
- For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

your unfailing love, Lord, supported me. - Even though I walk

your rod and your staff,
they comfort me. - I rejoice in following your statutes
as one rejoices in great riches. - My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.
- You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am.
- Keep my commands and follow them. I am the Lord.
- But I will sing of your strength,
in the morning I will sing of your love;
for you are my fortress,
my refuge in times of trouble. - My lips will shout for joy
when I sing praise to you—
I whom you have delivered. - Since you are precious and honored in my sight,
and because I love you,
I will give people in exchange for you,
nations in exchange for your life. - I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
- I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart. Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.Next verse!With image
