- Our help is in the name of the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth. - Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart. - I instruct you in the way of wisdom
and lead you along straight paths. - I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living. - Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests. - You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
- “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
- And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
- Deceit is in the hearts of those who plot evil,
but those who promote peace have joy. - I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.
- For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.
- Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.
- Fear of man will prove to be a snare,
but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe. - For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent and live!
- Be strong and take heart,
all you who hope in the Lord. - For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.
- In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
- In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait expectantly. - Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.
- Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.
- Wealth is worthless in the day of wrath,
but righteousness delivers from death. - Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. - Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers,
and blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord. - So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them. - Our God is in heaven;
he does whatever pleases him.
A thousand years in your sight
are like a day that has just gone by,
or like a watch in the night.For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
