- Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position. But the rich should take pride in their humiliation—since they will pass away like a wild flower.
- A thousand years in your sight
are like a day that has just gone by,
or like a watch in the night. - For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.
- Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
- Do everything in love.
- Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great:
He appeared in the flesh,
was vindicated by the Spirit,
was seen by angels,
was preached among the nations,
was believed on in the world,

in his justice and great righteousness, he does not oppress. - If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?
- Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
- God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble. - I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
- But I trust in your unfailing love;
my heart rejoices in your salvation.

and my hope is in you all day long. - Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.
- For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
- Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.
