- Seek the Lord while he may be found;
call on him while he is near. - He gives strength to the weary

we are all the work of your hand. - Learn to do right; seek justice.
Defend the oppressed.
Take up the cause of the fatherless;
plead the case of the widow. - Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” - Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your laws,
we wait for you;
your name and renown
are the desire of our hearts. - As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts. - I, even I, am he who comforts you.
Who are you that you fear mere mortals,
human beings who are but grass. - I have swept away your offenses like a cloud,
your sins like the morning mist.
Return to me,
for I have redeemed you. - Surely he took up our pain
and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
stricken by him, and afflicted. - Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.
- Who has done this and carried it through,
calling forth the generations from the beginning?
I, the Lord—with the first of them
and with the last—I am he. - Till the Spirit is poured on us from on high,
and the desert becomes a fertile field,
and the fertile field seems like a forest. - Since you are precious and honored in my sight,
and because I love you,
I will give people in exchange for you,
nations in exchange for your life. - Even to your old age and gray hairs
I am he, I am he who will sustain you.
I have made you and I will carry you;
I will sustain you and I will rescue you. - In that day you will say:
“Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name;
make known among the nations what he has done,
and proclaim that his name is exalted.”
Lord, you are my God;
I will exalt you and praise your name,
for in perfect faithfulness
you have done wonderful things,
things planned long ago.But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.Next verse!With image
