- You know what I am going to say
even before I say it, Lord. - If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing.
- The time is coming when everything that is covered up will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all.
- Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
Point out anything in me that offends you,
and lead me along the path of everlasting life. - So you, too, must keep watch! For you don’t know what day your Lord is coming.
- For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.
- I know the Lord is always with me.
I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me. - Don’t wear yourself out trying to get rich.
Be wise enough to know when to quit. - But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives,
and he will stand upon the earth at last. - Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come.
- The heavens proclaim the glory of God.
The skies display his craftsmanship.
Day after day they continue to speak;
night after night they make him known. - For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
- Those who know your name trust in you,
for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you. - Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness.
Let the whole world know what he has done. - Be still, and know that I am God!
I will be honored by every nation.
I will be honored throughout the world. - What is the price of two sparrows—one copper coin? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.
- I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners and need to repent.
- And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.
- I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life.
- For I know that as you pray for me and the Spirit of Jesus Christ helps me, this will lead to my deliverance.
- But when you fast, comb your hair and wash your face. Then no one will notice that you are fasting, except your Father, who knows what you do in private. And your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.
- Well then, am I suggesting that the law of God is sinful? Of course not! In fact, it was the law that showed me my sin. I would never have known that coveting is wrong if the law had not said, “You must not covet.”
- And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God. And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life.
- Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all!
- Think carefully about what is right, and stop sinning. For to your shame I say that some of you don’t know God at all.
