- My child, do not forget my teaching,
but let your heart keep my commandments;
for length of days and years of life
and abundant welfare they will give you. - Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.”
- Go, eat your bread with enjoyment, and drink your wine with a merry heart; for God has long ago approved what you do.
- Because you are precious in my sight,
and honored, and I love you,
I give people in return for you,
nations in exchange for your life. - If you sow to your own flesh, you will reap corruption from the flesh; but if you sow to the Spirit, you will reap eternal life from the Spirit.
- But God, who is rich in mercy, out of the great love with which he loved us even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ —by grace you have been saved—.
- On God rests my deliverance and my honor;
my mighty rock, my refuge is in God. - Blessed is anyone who endures temptation. Such a one has stood the test and will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
- His divine power has given us everything needed for life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
- The saying is sure:
If we have died with him, we will also live with him. - For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life.
- Fight the good fight of the faith; take hold of the eternal life, to which you were called and for which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
- Banish anxiety from your mind, and put away pain from your body; for youth and the dawn of life are vanity.
- My mouth is filled with your praise,
and with your glory all day long. - For we are God's servants, working together; you are God's field, God's building.
- For you bless the righteous, O Lord;
you cover them with favor as with a shield. - But those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty. The water that I will give will become in them a spring of water gushing up to eternal life.
- For what will it profit them to gain the whole world and forfeit their life?
- Honor the Lord with your substance
and with the first fruits of all your produce. - For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- Better is a little with righteousness
than large income with injustice. - Do all things without murmuring and arguing, so that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, in which you shine like stars in the world. It is by your holding fast to the word of life.
- Then the Lord God said, “See, the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from which he was taken.
- I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats of this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.
- I will greatly rejoice in the Lord,
my whole being shall exult in my God;
for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation,
he has covered me with the robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland,
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
And he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. If I give away all my possessions, and if I hand over my body so that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.Next verse!With image
