- My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When shall I come and appear before God? - Don’t work for the food which perishes, but for the food which remains to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For God the Father has sealed him.
- Every moving thing that lives will be food for you. As I gave you the green herb, I have given everything to you. But flesh with its life, that is, its blood, you shall not eat.
- Surely goodness and loving kindness shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in Yahweh’s house forever. - You will show me the path of life.
In your presence is fullness of joy.
In your right hand there are pleasures forever more. - “Yet even now,” says Yahweh, “turn to me with all your heart,
and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning.” - Hear, Israel: Yahweh is our God. Yahweh is one. You shall love Yahweh your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might.
- May Yahweh our God be with us as he was with our fathers. Let him not leave us or forsake us.
- The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.
- We know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
- I will never forget your precepts,
for with them, you have revived me. - By this we know love, because he laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.
- Rejoice with those who rejoice. Weep with those who weep.
- Yahweh is my light and my salvation.
Whom shall I fear?
Yahweh is the strength of my life.
Of whom shall I be afraid? - For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his life? Or what will a man give in exchange for his life?
- Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will not be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”
- For with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation.
- With all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love.
- Knowing that you were redeemed, not with corruptible things like silver or gold, from the useless way of life handed down from your fathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb without blemish or spot, the blood of Christ.
- Behold, that which I have seen to be good and proper is for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy good in all his labor, in which he labors under the sun, all the days of his life which God has given him; for this is his portion.
- He said to them, “Beware! Keep yourselves from covetousness, for a man’s life doesn’t consist of the abundance of the things which he possesses.”
- Go your way—eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart; for God has already accepted your works.
- But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved.
- Behold, God is my helper.
The Lord is the one who sustains my soul. - My son, don’t forget my teaching,
but let your heart keep my commandments,
for they will add to you length of days,
years of life, and peace.
