- Keep your tongue from evil

his praise will always be on my lips. - Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent,
and discerning if they hold their tongues. - For, “Whoever would love life
and see good days
must keep their tongue from evil
and their lips from deceitful speech.
They must turn from evil and do good;
they must seek peace and pursue it.” - Sin is not ended by multiplying words,
but the prudent hold their tongues. - I ate no choice food; no meat or wine touched my lips; and I used no lotions at all until the three weeks were over.
- All hard work brings a profit,
but mere talk leads only to poverty. - Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
- If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
- Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.
