- The faithful love of the Lord never ends!
His mercies never cease.
Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning. - So God created human beings in his own image.
In the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them. - Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
- God will destroy anyone who destroys this temple. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.
- The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit.
You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God. - Our God is in the heavens,
and he does as he wishes. - God blesses those who work for peace,
for they will be called the children of God. - But God is my helper.
The Lord keeps me alive! - I have been the Lord your God
ever since I brought you out of Egypt.
You must acknowledge no God but me,
for there is no other savior. - And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, “God is tempting me.” God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else.
- “For the mountains may move
and the hills disappear,
but even then my faithful love for you will remain.
My covenant of blessing will never be broken,”
says the Lord, who has mercy on you. - Glory to God in highest heaven,
and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased. - Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you?
- That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.
- I wait quietly before God,
for my victory comes from him. - Why am I discouraged?
Why is my heart so sad?
I will put my hope in God!
I will praise him again—
my Savior and my God! - Now all glory to God our Father forever and ever! Amen.
- And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own.
- Let all that I am wait quietly before God,
for my hope is in him. - Arise, O Lord!
Punish the wicked, O God!
Do not ignore the helpless! - Yes, God will bless us,
and people all over the world will fear him. - You have tested us, O God;
you have purified us like silver. - Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children.
- God is our refuge and strength,
always ready to help in times of trouble. - He replied, “What is impossible for people is possible with God.”
