- For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving,
abounding in steadfast love to all who call on you. - Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
- Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory,
for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness. - Be mindful of your mercy, O Lord, and of your steadfast love,
for they have been from of old.
Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions;
according to your steadfast love remember me,
for your goodness' sake, O Lord! - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

your mercy from me;

He does not retain his anger forever,
because he delights in showing clemency. - The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me;
your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever.
Do not forsake the work of your hands. - In God, whose word I praise,
in God I trust; I am not afraid;
what can flesh do to me? - For there is one God; there is also one mediator between God and humankind, Christ Jesus, himself human.
- On God rests my deliverance and my honor;
my mighty rock, my refuge is in God. - Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your steadfast love;
according to your abundant mercy
blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
and cleanse me from my sin. - But as for me, I will look to the Lord,
I will wait for the God of my salvation;
my God will hear me. - If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy that person. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple.
- Protect me, O God, for in you I take refuge.
- Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
I will lift up my hands and call on your name. - Let me hear of your steadfast love in the morning,
for in you I put my trust.
Teach me the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul. - No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God lives in us, and his love is perfected in us.
- The sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. - Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
- Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but not for God; for God all things are possible.”
