  • Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.
  • The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
  • Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.
  • Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
  • I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people.
  • But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.
  • I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love.
  • My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ.
  • May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you.
  • Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
  • And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming.
  • Keep his decrees and commands, which I am giving you today, so that it may go well with you and your children after you and that you may live long in the land the Lord your God gives you for all time.
  • A person may think their own ways are right,
    but the Lord weighs the heart.
  • May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had.
  • What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?
  • Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully.
  • And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.
  • Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
  • I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
  • May God bless us still,
    so that all the ends of the earth will fear him.
  • Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
  • The Lord gives strength to his people;
    the Lord blesses his people with peace.
  • Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.
  • May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us;
    establish the work of our hands for us—
    yes, establish the work of our hands.
  • Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise.

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
