Chinese (traditional)- If the world hates you,
be aware that it hated me
before it hated you. - No one can have greater love
than to lay down his life for his friends. - Dear children,
let us love not in word or speech
but in deed and truth. - Jesus replied,
“Amen, amen, I say to you,
everyone who sins
is a slave of sin.” - God is Spirit,
and those who worship him
must worship in Spirit and truth. - What is born of the flesh is flesh,
and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. - In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God. - Jesus replied,
“This is the work of God:
to believe in the one whom he has sent.” - What then if you were to behold the Son of Man
ascend to where he was before? - The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness has been unable to overcome it. - Do not let your hearts be troubled.
You place your trust in God.
Trust also in me. - By this is my Father glorified,
that you bear much fruit
and become my disciples. - Whoever feeds upon my flesh and drinks my blood
dwells in me and I dwell in him. - And this is the testimony:
God gave us eternal life,
and this life is in his Son. - This is how everyone will know
that you are my disciples:
if you love one another. - Jesus answered them,
“My teaching is not my own;
rather, it comes from him who sent me.” - For from the beginning
you have heard the message
that we should love one another. - “Peace be with you,” Jesus said to them again.
“As the Father has sent me,
so I send you.” - Nothing gives me greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
- Whatever you ask in my name I will do,
so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. - Jesus replied, “Did I not tell you that if you have faith you will see the glory of God?”
- Who indeed conquers the world
except the one who believes
that Jesus is the Son of God? - And I will ask the Father,
and he will give you another Advocate
to be with you forever. - I have told you these things
so that my joy may be in you
and your joy may be complete. - And when he comes,
he will prove the world wrong
about sin and righteousness and judgment.
So if I, your Lord and Teacher,
have washed your feet,
you also should wash one another’s feet.For your kindness extends to the heavens;
your faithfulness, to the skies. Faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the conviction about things that cannot be seen.Next verse! With image
