- Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving.
- The wise in heart will receive commandments:
but a prating fool shall fall. - Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;
and his greatness is unsearchable. - For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.
- Let my mouth be filled with thy praise
and with thy honour all the day. - Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer.
- I will bless the Lord at all times:
his praise shall continually be in my mouth. - And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
- I will be glad and rejoice in thee:
I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High. - But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
- Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
- Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain:
but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. - And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.
- I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart;
I will shew forth all thy marvellous works. - He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law,
even his prayer shall be abomination. - And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
- And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.
- Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;
save me, and I shall be saved:
for thou art my praise. - But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
- I will praise thee with uprightness of heart,
when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments. - I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live:
I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. - In God I will praise his word,
in God I have put my trust;
I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. - Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.
- Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord,
that delighteth greatly in his commandments. - Hear my prayer, O Lord,
give ear to my supplications:
in thy faithfulness answer me,
and in thy righteousness.
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord;
