- For who is God besides the Lord?
And who is the Rock except our God? - You make your saving help my shield,
and your right hand sustains me;
your help has made me great.
You provide a broad path for my feet,
so that my ankles do not give way. - The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge. - The law of the Lord is perfect,
refreshing the soul.
The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy,
making wise the simple. - The precepts of the Lord are right,
giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are radiant,
giving light to the eyes. - May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart
be pleasing in your sight,
Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. - May he give you the desire of your heart
and make all your plans succeed. - Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. - The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters. - Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me. - Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever. - The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it. - Who is he, this King of glory?
The Lord Almighty—
he is the King of glory. - Show me your ways, Lord,
teach me your paths. - Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long. - Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love,
for they are from of old.
Do not remember the sins of my youth
and my rebellious ways;
according to your love remember me,
for you, Lord, are good. - Good and upright is the Lord;
therefore he instructs sinners in his ways.
He guides the humble in what is right
and teaches them his way. - The Lord is my light and my salvation—
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life—
of whom shall I be afraid? - Though an army besiege me,
my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me,
even then I will be confident. - One thing I ask from the Lord,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple. - I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living. - Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord. - The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.
My heart leaps for joy,
and with my song I praise him. - The Lord gives strength to his people;
the Lord blesses his people with peace. - For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime;
weeping may stay for the night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning.
In you, Lord, I have taken refuge;
let me never be put to shame;
deliver me in your righteousness.Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.Next verse!With image
