- The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth,
and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart;
and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. - The tongue of the just is as choice silver:
the heart of the wicked is little worth. - For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

give ear to my supplications:
in thy faithfulness answer me,
and in thy righteousness. - Fear thou not; for I am with thee:
be not dismayed; for I am thy God:
I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee;
yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. - And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the Lord our God, as he hath commanded us.
- Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out:
he is excellent in power, and in judgment,
and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict. - Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
- Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
- Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
- Better is a little with righteousness
than great revenues without right. - Open thy mouth, judge righteously,
and plead the cause of the poor and needy. - Treasures of wickedness profit nothing:
but righteousness delivereth from death. - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
- He is the Rock, his work is perfect:
for all his ways are judgment:
a God of truth and without iniquity,
just and right is he. - Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
