- This is what the Lord says to Israel: “Seek me and live.”
- You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am.
- Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go,
for to you I entrust my life. - The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

your rod and your staff,

because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.

and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free. - When anxiety was great within me,
your consolation brought me joy. - For those who find me find life
and receive favor from the Lord. - Let your face shine on your servant;
save me in your unfailing love. - Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.
- When I said, “My foot is slipping,”
your unfailing love, Lord, supported me. - I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me;
I was found by those who did not seek me.
To a nation that did not call on my name,
I said, ‘Here am I, here am I.’ - The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners. - Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them.
- “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”
- Jesus answered, “My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me.”
- Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”
- I seek you with all my heart;
do not let me stray from your commands. - I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?
- But you, Lord, are a shield around me,
my glory, the One who lifts my head high. - Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.
- Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
- You make known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand. - Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
In peace I will lie down and sleep,
for you alone, Lord,
make me dwell in safety.For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
