- I made haste, and delayed not
to keep thy commandments. - For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
- For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake.
- And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, To keep the commandments of the Lord, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?
- If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
- For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
- Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
- Incline my heart unto thy testimonies,
and not to covetousness. - And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
- Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace, good will toward men. - As in water face answereth to face,
so the heart of man to man. - I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live:
I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. - For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.
- For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.
- Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
- Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
- Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
- If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
- The way of the Lord is strength to the upright:
but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity. - And the Lord commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.
- In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
- Let us search and try our ways,
and turn again to the Lord. - If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.
- And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
- Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again; Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.
Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude. And they did eat, and were all filled: and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets.Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.
