Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Understanding'
- Blessed are those who find wisdom,
those who gain understanding. - For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. - Fools find no pleasure in understanding
but delight in airing their own opinions. - The one who gets wisdom loves life;
the one who cherishes understanding will soon prosper. - The unfolding of your words gives light;
it gives understanding to the simple. - Whoever is patient has great understanding,
but one who is quick-tempered displays folly. - Get wisdom, get understanding;
do not forget my words or turn away from them. - The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom.
Though it cost all you have, get understanding. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
all who follow his precepts have good understanding.
To him belongs eternal praise. - Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.
- Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom. - Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight. - How much better to get wisdom than gold,
to get insight rather than silver! - To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.
- We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
- My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ.
- Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
- “Are you so dull?” he asked. “Don’t you see that nothing that enters a person from the outside can defile them? For it doesn’t go into their heart but into their stomach, and then out of the body.” (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods clean.)
- Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.
- Do not wear yourself out to get rich;
do not trust your own cleverness. - I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people.
- Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
Then you will win favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man. - Houses and wealth are inherited from parents,
but a prudent wife is from the Lord. - Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent,
and discerning if they hold their tongues.
May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.And I saw that all toil and all achievement spring from one person’s envy of another. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind. Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”Next verse!With image
