- You will keep in perfect peace
those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in you. - As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father.
- The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.
- What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs.
- In peace I will lie down and sleep,
for you alone, Lord,
make me dwell in safety. - When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
- The Lord is good,
a refuge in times of trouble.
He cares for those who trust in him. - Fools find no pleasure in understanding
but delight in airing their own opinions. - And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
- That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
- In God, whose word I praise—
in God I trust and am not afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me? - God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.
- If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
- Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers. - Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.
- In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’

- No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
- So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them. - Keep me safe, my God,
for in you I take refuge. - We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.
- I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.
- Our God is in heaven;
he does whatever pleases him.
Since you are precious and honored in my sight,
and because I love you,
I will give people in exchange for you,
nations in exchange for your life.Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you.
