If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you.For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
Remember, O Lord, your compassion and unfailing love, which you have shown from long ages past. Do not remember the rebellious sins of my youth. Remember me in the light of your unfailing love, for you are merciful, O Lord.Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old. Do not remember the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you, Lord, are good.
Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin.”Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.”
That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil.“In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.
Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away.Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.
For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power.The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is put out of sight!Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.
Repent, and turn from your sins. Don’t let them destroy you!Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall.
Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?
There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death.There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.
Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you.Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.
We have happy memories of the godly, but the name of a wicked person rots away.The name of the righteous is used in blessings, but the name of the wicked will rot.
Wash yourselves and be clean! Get your sins out of my sight. Give up your evil ways.Wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight; stop doing wrong.
“Come now, let’s settle this,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.”“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.”
But we have sinned and done wrong. We have rebelled against you and scorned your commands and regulations.We have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws.
When you become aware of your guilt in any of these ways, you must confess your sin.When anyone becomes aware that they are guilty in any of these matters, they must confess in what way they have sinned.
So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
Suppose you sin by violating one of the Lord’s commands. Even if you are unaware of what you have done, you are guilty and will be punished for your sin.If anyone sins and does what is forbidden in any of the Lord’s commands, even though they do not know it, they are guilty and will be held responsible.
Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace.For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.
Godliness makes a nation great, but sin is a disgrace to any people.Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people.
Finally, I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide my guilt. I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the Lord.” And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone.Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin.
For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind.For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.

But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil.The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.
