- In praying, don’t use vain repetitions as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking.
- Pleasant words are a honeycomb,
sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. - Give thanks to Yahweh! Call on his name!
Make his doings known among the peoples. - So is my word that goes out of my mouth:
it will not return to me void,
but it will accomplish that which I please,

- If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but don’t have love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
- Keep your tongue from evil,
and your lips from speaking lies. - Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Put corrupt lips far from you. - When they lead you away and deliver you up, don’t be anxious beforehand or premeditate what you will say, but say whatever will be given you in that hour. For it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.
- But say the things which fit sound doctrine.
- Open your mouth, judge righteously,
and serve justice to the poor and needy. - By Yahweh’s word, the heavens were made:
all their army by the breath of his mouth.
