- A wise son makes a glad father,
but a foolish son is a sorrow to his mother. - Fine speech is not becoming to a fool;
still less is false speech to a prince. - Whoever is wise, let him understand these things;
whoever is discerning, let him know them;
for the ways of the Lord are right,
and the upright walk in them,
but transgressors stumble in them.
