- Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise;
when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent. - Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding,
but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly. - Blessed is the one who finds wisdom,
and the one who gets understanding. - For in much wisdom is much vexation,
and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;
fools despise wisdom and instruction. - Know that wisdom is such to your soul;
if you find it, there will be a future,
and your hope will not be cut off. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. - I have taught you the way of wisdom;
I have led you in the paths of uprightness. - Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!
- Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise,
but the companion of fools will suffer harm. - Get wisdom; get insight;
do not forget, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
all those who practice it have a good understanding.
His praise endures forever! - The words of a wise man's mouth win him favor,
but the lips of a fool consume him. - One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.
- My son, if your heart is wise,
my heart too will be glad. - That their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God's mystery, which is Christ.
- With his mouth the godless man would destroy his neighbor,
but by knowledge the righteous are delivered. - The law of the Lord is perfect,
reviving the soul;
the testimony of the Lord is sure,
making wise the simple. - A fool gives full vent to his spirit,
but a wise man quietly holds it back. - A fool's lips walk into a fight,
and his mouth invites a beating. - The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice;
he who fathers a wise son will be glad in him. - The vexation of a fool is known at once,
but the prudent ignores an insult. - If you turn at my reproof,
behold, I will pour out my spirit to you;
I will make my words known to you. - Many shall purify themselves and make themselves white and be refined, but the wicked shall act wickedly. And none of the wicked shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand.
- A fool despises his father's instruction,
but whoever heeds reproof is prudent.
A wise son makes a glad father,
but a foolish son is a sorrow to his mother.And he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him.” Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.Next verse!With image
