- Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding,
but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly. - The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom,
and whatever you get, get insight. - For in much wisdom is much vexation,
and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow. - Blessed is the one who finds wisdom,
and the one who gets understanding. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;
fools despise wisdom and instruction. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. - Know that wisdom is such to your soul;
if you find it, there will be a future,
and your hope will not be cut off. - I have taught you the way of wisdom;
I have led you in the paths of uprightness. - Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!
- Get wisdom; get insight;
do not forget, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth. - Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise,
but the companion of fools will suffer harm. - The words of a wise man's mouth win him favor,
but the lips of a fool consume him. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
all those who practice it have a good understanding.
His praise endures forever! - One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.
- That their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God's mystery, which is Christ.
- With his mouth the godless man would destroy his neighbor,
but by knowledge the righteous are delivered. - The law of the Lord is perfect,
reviving the soul;
the testimony of the Lord is sure,
making wise the simple. - My son, if your heart is wise,
my heart too will be glad. - A fool gives full vent to his spirit,
but a wise man quietly holds it back. - A fool's lips walk into a fight,
and his mouth invites a beating. - A fool despises his father's instruction,
but whoever heeds reproof is prudent. - The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice;
he who fathers a wise son will be glad in him. - The vexation of a fool is known at once,
but the prudent ignores an insult. - If you turn at my reproof,
behold, I will pour out my spirit to you;
I will make my words known to you. - Fine speech is not becoming to a fool;
still less is false speech to a prince.
Many shall purify themselves and make themselves white and be refined, but the wicked shall act wickedly. And none of the wicked shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand.Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. Jesus looked at them and said, “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.”Next verse!With image Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.Personal Bible reading plan
