Chinese (traditional)Then he said to them, “Go forth into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to all creation.” A man is joyful when he utters apt answers,
and even more satisfying is a word in season. Therefore, brethren, I implore you by the mercies of God to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice that is holy and acceptable to God—a spiritual act of worship. Good and upright is the Lord;
therefore, he instructs sinners in his ways.
He guides the humble in what is right
and teaches them the path to follow. No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a pot or places it under a bed. Rather he places it on a lampstand so that those who enter may see the light. There is no holy one like the Lord,
there is none beside you,
nor is there a rock like our God. For this day in the city of David there has been born to you a Savior who is Christ, the Lord. Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from anything that can defile flesh or spirit, and thereby make our holiness perfect in the fear of God. Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How inscrutable are his judgments and how unfathomable his ways! The one who leads a blameless life
and does what is right,
who speaks the truth from the heart
and does not slander anyone,
who does not harm a friend
and does not scorn a neighbor. No one should seek his own advantage in preference to that of his neighbor. Do not wear yourself out in the pursuit of wealth,
and cease even to think about it. We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners, yet we know that a man is justified not by the works of the Law but through faith in Jesus Christ. So we too came to believe in Christ Jesus so that we might be justified by faith in him and not by the works of the Law, for no one will be justified by the works of the Law. The upright are guarded by their integrity;
the treacherous are destroyed by their own duplicity. Gaze upon the birds in the sky. They do not sow or reap or store in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of far greater value than they? For God so loved the world
that he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him
may not perish
but may attain eternal life. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and barren, and darkness covered the abyss while the Spirit of God hovered over the waters. O Lord, you are kind and forgiving,
filled with kindness for all who cry to you. You are a place of refuge for me;
you preserve me from trouble
and surround me with songs of deliverance. SelahNext verse!With image
