Chinese (traditional)Of his own will he gave birth to us by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures. For whoever finds me finds life,
and will obtain favor from Yahweh. If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, even as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. Don’t say, “Why were the former days better than these?” For you do not ask wisely about this. Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need. Aren’t two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows. He said, “That which proceeds out of the man, that defiles the man. For from within, out of the hearts of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, sexual sins, murders, thefts, covetings, wickedness, deceit, lustful desires, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, and foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile the man.” But don’t forget this one thing, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what you have, not according to what you don’t have. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation nor turning shadow. Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will not be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” The words of a wise man’s mouth are gracious; but a fool is swallowed by his own lips. He who gets wisdom loves his own soul.
He who keeps understanding shall find good. Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. ‘For in him we live, move, and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also his offspring.’ Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us.
Establish the work of our hands for us.
Yes, establish the work of our hands. Beloved, now we are children of God. It is not yet revealed what we will be; but we know that when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him just as he is. Everyone who has this hope set on him purifies himself, even as he is pure. For we don’t have a high priest who can’t be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin. Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great and difficult things, which you don’t know. Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners. Purify your hearts, you double-minded. See how great a love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God! For this cause the world doesn’t know us, because it didn’t know him. We can’t reach the Almighty.
He is exalted in power.
In justice and great righteousness, he will not oppress. Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you. Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. I tell you that every idle word that men speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. Lord, all my desire is before you.
My groaning is not hidden from you. Can a woman forget her nursing child,
that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb?
Yes, these may forget,
yet I will not forget you!
Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.
Your walls are continually before me. Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind; for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things? Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will not be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”Next verse! With image
