Chinese (traditional)That which makes a man to be desired is his kindness.
A poor man is better than a liar. I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world. Blessed are those who keep his statutes,
who seek him with their whole heart. Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed him, “If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” But godliness with contentment is great gain. Finally, all of you be like-minded, compassionate, loving as brothers, tenderhearted, courteous. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision amounts to anything, but faith working through love. So then, as we have opportunity, let’s do what is good toward all men, and especially toward those who are of the household of the faith. For Christ is the fulfillment of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Christ, because it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first, and also for the Greek. You adulterers and adulteresses, don’t you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are profitable. “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things build up. Have mercy on me, God, according to your loving kindness.
According to the multitude of your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity.
Cleanse me from my sin. A gentle tongue is a tree of life,
but deceit in it crushes the spirit. Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven; for all his works are truth, and his ways justice; and those who walk in pride he is able to abase. But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Seek Yahweh and his strength.
Seek his face forever more. For a day in your courts is better than a thousand.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God,
than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. Let everything that has breath praise Yah!
Praise Yah! Therefore you are without excuse, O man, whoever you are who judge. For in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself. For you who judge practice the same things. For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed. God, you are my God.
I will earnestly seek you.
My soul thirsts for you.
My flesh longs for you,
in a dry and weary land, where there is no water. Don’t love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him. But say the things which fit sound doctrine. Now, Israel, what does Yahweh your God require of you, but to fear Yahweh your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, and to serve Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul, to keep Yahweh’s commandments and statutes, which I command you today for your good? Why are you in despair, my soul?
Why are you disturbed within me?
Hope in God! For I shall still praise him,
the saving help of my countenance, and my God. The fear of Yahweh teaches wisdom.
Before honor is humility. I have taken your testimonies as a heritage forever,
for they are the joy of my heart. He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?
