Chinese (traditional)I thank You and praise You,
O God of my fathers;
You have given me wisdom and might,
And have now made known to me what we asked of You,
For You have made known to us the king’s demand. He who guards his mouth preserves his life,
But he who opens wide his lips shall have destruction. Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. The wicked man does deceptive work,
But he who sows righteousness will have a sure reward. Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. A fool has no delight in understanding,
But in expressing his own heart. Blessed are the undefiled in the way,
Who walk in the law of the Lord! Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit. But He said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.” But let justice run down like water,
And righteousness like a mighty stream. But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. How can a young man cleanse his way?
By taking heed according to Your word. And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. Blessed are those who mourn,
For they shall be comforted. Who is a God like You,
Pardoning iniquity
And passing over the transgression
of the remnant of His heritage?
He does not retain His anger forever,
Because He delights in mercy. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
For they shall be filled. Before destruction the heart of a man is haughty,
And before honor is humility. Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls. And when they saw Him walking on the sea, they supposed it was a ghost, and cried out; for they all saw Him and were troubled. But immediately He talked with them and said to them, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” But take careful heed to do the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, to keep His commandments, to hold fast to Him, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul. “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil. Truly my soul silently waits for God;
From Him comes my salvation. Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence. As he came from his mother’s womb, naked shall he return,
To go as he came;
And he shall take nothing from his labor
Which he may carry away in his hand. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever. Oh, give thanks to the Lord!
Call upon His name;
Make known His deeds among the peoples! He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise.Next verse!With image
