Chinese (traditional)Whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls. Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Truly my soul silently waits for God;
From Him comes my salvation. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so. Thus says the Lord of hosts:
‘Execute true justice,
Show mercy and compassion
Everyone to his brother.
Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless,
The alien or the poor.
Let none of you plan evil in his heart
Against his brother.’ Oh, give thanks to the Lord!
Call upon His name;
Make known His deeds among the peoples! Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. He who loves silver will not be satisfied with silver;
Nor he who loves abundance, with increase.
This also is vanity. Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many. Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever. You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice; you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him. Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens,
And Your glory above all the earth. Not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. In my distress I called upon the Lord,
And cried out to my God;
He heard my voice from His temple,
And my cry came before Him, even to His ears. Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. The Lord is good,
A stronghold in the day of trouble;
And He knows those who trust in Him. And those who know Your name will put their trust in You;
For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You. And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. Remember, O Lord, Your tender mercies and Your lovingkindnesses,
For they are from of old.
Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions;
According to Your mercy remember me,
For Your goodness’ sake, O Lord. Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.” The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed,
A refuge in times of trouble. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil,
But counselors of peace have joy.
