Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. Truly my soul waiteth upon God:
from him cometh my salvation. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother: And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart. O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name:
make known his deeds among the people. Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity. And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth. For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good;
for his mercy endureth for ever. Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens:
and thy glory above all the earth. Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. In my distress I called upon the Lord,
and cried unto my God:
he heard my voice out of his temple,
and my cry came before him, even into his ears. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. The Lord is good,
a strong hold in the day of trouble;
and he knoweth them that trust in him. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee:
for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses;
for they have been ever of old.
Remember not the sins of my youth,
nor my transgressions:
according to thy mercy remember thou me
for thy goodness' sake, O Lord. And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed,
a refuge in times of trouble. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us. Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.Next verse!With image
