I will bless the Lord at all times:
his praise shall continually be in my mouth. To him that is afflicted pity should be shewed from his friend;
but he forsaketh the fear of the Almighty. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord.
Lord, hear my voice:
let thine ears be attentive
to the voice of my supplications. And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself;
but the simple pass on, and are punished. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress:
my God; in him will I trust. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven. Cast thy burden upon the Lord,
and he shall sustain thee:
he shall never suffer
the righteous to be moved. For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. And rend your heart,
and not your garments,
and turn unto the Lord your God:
for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and of great kindness,
and repenteth him of the evil. Depart from evil, and do good;
seek peace, and pursue it. But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. He healeth the broken in heart,
and bindeth up their wounds. Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom;
and before honour is humility. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise:
and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. Let all your things be done with charity. The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.Next verse!With image
