Chinese (traditional)Pleasant words are a honeycomb,
sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever! Amen. Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” He will not allow your foot to be moved.
He who keeps you will not slumber. But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.” I will lift up my eyes to the hills.
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from Yahweh,
who made heaven and earth. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. A man of many companions may be ruined,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Cause me to hear your loving kindness in the morning,
for I trust in you.
Cause me to know the way in which I should walk,
for I lift up my soul to you. Let’s consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. Not only this, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope. Trust in Yahweh, and do good.
Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God. I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying, “Behold, God’s dwelling is with people; and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain any more. The first things have passed away.” There is a way which seems right to a man,
but in the end it leads to death. Therefore Yahweh will wait, that he may be gracious to you; and therefore he will be exalted, that he may have mercy on you, for Yahweh is a God of justice. Blessed are all those who wait for him. Jesus answered him, “If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.” Because your loving kindness is better than life,
my lips shall praise you.
So I will bless you while I live.
I will lift up my hands in your name. Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven; for all his works are truth, and his ways justice; and those who walk in pride he is able to abase. For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed toward us. He who guards his mouth guards his soul.
One who opens wide his lips comes to ruin. So then, as we have opportunity, let’s do what is good toward all men, and especially toward those who are of the household of the faith. If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. I have hidden your word in my heart,
that I might not sin against you. Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. Put to death therefore your members which are on the earth: sexual immorality, uncleanness, depraved passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul,
but he who is contemptuous in his ways shall die. Don’t be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. Let your beauty come not from the outward adorning of braiding your hair, and of wearing gold ornaments or of putting on fine clothing, but from the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in God’s sight.Next verse! With image
