For the Lord giveth wisdom:
out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock. Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings;
and the years of thy life shall be many. For with God nothing shall be impossible. And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one. Labour not to be rich:
cease from thine own wisdom. See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. In God I will praise his word,
in God I have put my trust;
I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love. Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the Lord. A friend loveth at all times,
and a brother is born for adversity. Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. For thou art my rock and my fortress;
therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me. The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich:
he bringeth low, and lifteth up. And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. God setteth the solitary in families:
he bringeth out those which are bound with chains:
but the rebellious dwell in a dry land. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. O taste and see that the Lord is good:
blessed is the man that trusteth in him. Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears. But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him,
to all that call upon him in truth. But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die. And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you. The ransom of a man's life are his riches:
but the poor heareth not rebuke. Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it. Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory. Selah. Yea, though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me;
thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.Next verse!With image
