With my soul have I desired thee in the night;
yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early:
for when thy judgments are in the earth,
the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. Blessed are the peacemakers:
for they shall be called the children of God. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. Whom have I in heaven but thee?
and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings,
that publisheth peace;
that bringeth good tidings of good,
that publisheth salvation;
that saith unto Zion,
Thy God reigneth! For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law. Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the Lord thy God giveth thee, for ever. Let my mouth be filled with thy praise
and with thy honour all the day. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge:
but fools despise wisdom and instruction. And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Seek ye the Lord while he may be found,
call ye upon him while he is near. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Thou art my hiding place and my shield:
I hope in thy word. Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. A fool hath no delight in understanding,
but that his heart may discover itself. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end. Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all. Defend the poor and fatherless:
do justice to the afflicted and needy. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Iron sharpeneth iron;
so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,
and a light unto my path. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory. Selah.
