Chinese (traditional)For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God. Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean;
remove the evil of your doings
from before my eyes;
cease to do evil. Welcome those who are weak in faith, but not for the purpose of quarreling over opinions. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have obtained the requests made of him. My times are in your hand;
deliver me from the hand of my enemies and persecutors. Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for you reap whatever you sow. A gift opens doors;
it gives access to the great. For if the eagerness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has—not according to what one does not have. But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to make this freewill offering? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you. God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble. Whatever you ask for in prayer with faith, you will receive. Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? One who forgives an affront fosters friendship,
but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend. Keep your lives free from the love of money, and be content with what you have; for he has said, “I will never leave you or forsake you.” I can do all things through him who strengthens me. For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving,
abounding in steadfast love to all who call on you. Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who maintains covenant loyalty with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations. Because no prophecy ever came by human will, but men and women moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. The Lord makes poor and makes rich;
he brings low, he also exalts. And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation.” For we walk by faith, not by sight. Happy is everyone who fears the Lord,
who walks in his ways. You have the fringe so that, when you see it, you will remember all the commandments of the Lord and do them, and not follow the lust of your own heart and your own eyes. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid. Look at the proud!
Their spirit is not right in them,
but the righteous live by their faith. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful. Therefore encourage one another and build up each other, as indeed you are doing. Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him;
do not fret over those who prosper in their way,
over those who carry out evil devices. If only they had such a mind as this, to fear me and to keep all my commandments always, so that it might go well with them and with their children forever! The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with all of you. Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for you reap whatever you sow. Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.Next verse!With image
