- The name of the Lord is a strong tower:
the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. - What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
- But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
- And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
- And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.
- Except the Lord build the house,
they labour in vain that build it:
except the Lord keep the city,
the watchman waketh but in vain. - O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
- Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
- God shall bless us;
and all the ends of the earth shall fear him. - Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
- Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
- While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
- Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord;
and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. - Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the Lord.
- Thou, O Lord, remainest for ever;
thy throne from generation to generation. - Yet I am the Lord thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.
- And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
- Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
- As the hart panteth after the water brooks,
so panteth my soul after thee, O God. - For who is God save the Lord?
or who is a rock save our God? - Who hath wrought and done it,
calling the generations from the beginning?
I the Lord, the first,
and with the last; I am he. - The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
- God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
- The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger:
but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. - Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
