Before the mountains were born, before you gave birth to the earth and the world, from beginning to end, you are God. | Before the mountains were born, before you had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, you are God. |
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. | We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose. |

Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world. | Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth. |
And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us. | By this we know that we remain in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. |
Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways! | Oh the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past tracing out! |
This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. | This is the message which we have heard from him and announce to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. |
And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth. | This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ. |
For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock? | For who is God, except Yahweh? Who is a rock, besides our God? |
You must faithfully keep all my commands by putting them into practice, for I am the Lord. | Therefore you shall keep my commandments, and do them. I am Yahweh. |
As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God. | As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants after you, God. |
Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing. | The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger, but those who seek Yahweh shall not lack any good thing. |
All honor and glory to God forever and ever! He is the eternal King, the unseen one who never dies; he alone is God. Amen. | Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. |
Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.” | Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.” |

Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Spirit he gave us lives in us. | He who keeps his commandments remains in him, and he in him. By this we know that he remains in us, by the Spirit which he gave us. |
“Can anyone hide from me in a secret place? Am I not everywhere in all the heavens and earth?” says the Lord. | “Can anyone hide himself in secret places so that I can’t see him?” says Yahweh. “Don’t I fill heaven and earth?” says Yahweh. |
A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. | Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. |
I have been the Lord your God ever since I brought you out of Egypt. You must acknowledge no God but me, for there is no other savior. | Yet I am Yahweh your God from the land of Egypt; and you shall acknowledge no god but me, and besides me there is no savior. |
Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. | Beloved, if God loved us in this way, we also ought to love one another. |
What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord, whose people he has chosen as his inheritance. | Blessed is the nation whose God is Yahweh, the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance. |
Listen, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. | Hear, Israel: Yahweh is our God. Yahweh is one. You shall love Yahweh your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might. |
No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. | No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. |
So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. | God created man in his own image. In God’s image he created him; male and female he created them. |
