- Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord!
O Lord, hear my voice!
Let your ears be attentive
to the voice of my pleas for mercy! - You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
- Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper,
but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy. - The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
- What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?
- The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
- Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
- For I will be merciful toward their iniquities,
and I will remember their sins no more. - I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.
- What is man that you are mindful of him,
and the son of man that you care for him? - Nevertheless, in your great mercies you did not make an end of them or forsake them, for you are a gracious and merciful God.
- For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.
- For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake.
- The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
- You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace.
- Return, faithless Israel,
declares the Lord.
I will not look on you in anger,
for I am merciful,
declares the Lord;
I will not be angry forever. - Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times.”
- And rend your hearts and not your garments.
Return to the Lord your God,
for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love;
and he relents over disaster. - Let the wicked forsake his way,
and the unrighteous man his thoughts;
let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him,
and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. - Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.
- But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’
