- He was despised
and rejected by men,
a man of suffering
and acquainted with disease.
He was despised as one from whom men hide their face;
and we didn’t respect him. - The testimony is this: that God gave to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

- They set up over his head the accusation against him written, “THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS.”
- Don’t work for the food which perishes, but for the food which remains to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For God the Father has sealed him.
- You therefore, my child, be strengthened in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
- For our citizenship is in heaven, from where we also wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
- For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.
