- Very truly I tell you, whoever accepts anyone I send accepts me; and whoever accepts me accepts the one who sent me.
- Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
- Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross! - For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
- For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.
- For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
- He must become greater; I must become less.
- Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.
- Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
- For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. - Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.
- I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.
- If you love me, keep my commands.
- He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”
- But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.
- For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
- Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
- Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
- “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
- Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
- He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. - If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.
- I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
- Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
- For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”
