- And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
- For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
- He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. - I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
- Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
- This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.
- If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.
- I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
- Jesus is ‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’
- For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.
- Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.
- I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
- If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
- We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
- So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
- I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.
- My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?
- If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love.
- While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!”
- Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.
- It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
- Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.
- He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. - You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am.
- But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.
And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.Next verse! With image
