- Incline my heart to Your testimonies,
And not to covetousness. - But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
- You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
- Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.
- Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.
- You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.
- We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.
- And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
- You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
- There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another?
- I am the Lord your God: Walk in My statutes, keep My judgments, and do them; hallow My Sabbaths, and they will be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am the Lord your God.
- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
A good understanding have all those who do His commandments.
His praise endures forever. - The way of the Lord is strength for the upright,
But destruction will come to the workers of iniquity. - The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart;
The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. - Therefore you shall keep My commandments, and perform them: I am the Lord.
- Then the Lord said to Moses, “Come up to Me on the mountain and be there; and I will give you tablets of stone, and the law and commandments which I have written, that you may teach them.”
- And I will walk at liberty,
For I seek Your precepts. - My son, do not forget my law,
But let your heart keep my commands;
For length of days and long life
And peace they will add to you. - ‘You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not bear false witness,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
- Your testimonies I have taken as a heritage forever,
For they are the rejoicing of my heart. - I made haste, and did not delay
To keep Your commandments. - Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.
- But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference.
- The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul;
The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. - If a person sins, and commits any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the Lord, though he does not know it, yet he is guilty and shall bear his iniquity.
