| The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. | The Lord is compassionate and gracious, Slow to anger and abounding in mercy. |
| Yet the Lord will command his lovingkindness in the day time, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life. | The Lord will send His goodness in the daytime; And His song will be with me in the night, A prayer to the God of my life. |

| Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord. | You shall not hate your fellow countryman in your heart; you may certainly rebuke your neighbor, but you are not to incur sin because of him. | And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. | And if I give away all my possessions to charity, and if I surrender my body so that I may glory, but do not have love, it does me no good. |

| Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. | Let love of the brothers and sisters continue. Do not neglect hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it. |

| And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. | And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. |
| By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. | By this all people will know that you are My disciples: if you have love for one another. |
| For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. | For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” |
