Commit your works to the Lord, And your thoughts will be established. | Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. |
For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it? | Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? |

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. | For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. |
A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps. | In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps. |
May He grant you according to your heart’s desire, And fulfill all your purpose. | May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed. |
Without counsel, plans go awry, But in the multitude of counselors they are established. | Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed. |

Surely the Lord God does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets. | Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets. |
Do not envy the oppressor, And choose none of his ways; For the perverse person is an abomination to the Lord, But His secret counsel is with the upright. | Do not envy the violent or choose any of their ways. For the Lord detests the perverse but takes the upright into his confidence. |
