- I will praise You with uprightness of heart,
When I learn Your righteous judgments. - Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he fell to the ground and worshiped. And he said:
“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
And naked shall I return there.
The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away;
Blessed be the name of the Lord.” - I thank You and praise You,
O God of my fathers;
You have given me wisdom and might,
And have now made known to me what we asked of You,
For You have made known to us the king’s demand. - Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.
- Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.
