- Yahweh is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knows those who take refuge in him.
- And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and will preserve me for his heavenly Kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Plead for the widow. - Yahweh redeems the soul of his servants.
None of those who take refuge in him shall be condemned. - He alone is my rock, my salvation, and my fortress.
I will never be greatly shaken. - As for God, his way is perfect.
Yahweh’s word is tested.
He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him. - That he may guard the paths of justice,
and preserve the way of his saints. - A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge;
but the simple pass on, and suffer for it. - They will never be hungry or thirsty any more. The sun won’t beat on them, nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the middle of the throne shepherds them and leads them to springs of life-giving waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
- Don’t withhold your tender mercies from me, Yahweh.
Let your loving kindness and your truth continually preserve me. - Therefore put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
- Yahweh will also be a high tower for the oppressed;
a high tower in times of trouble. - If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, which you are.
- He lays up sound wisdom for the upright.
He is a shield to those who walk in integrity. - Bring us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.
For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen. - Doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.

Yahweh, you will surround him with favor as with a shield. - Yahweh said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power. Only on himself don’t stretch out your hand.” So Satan went out from the presence of Yahweh.
- Yahweh preserves the foreigners.
He upholds the fatherless and widow,
but he turns the way of the wicked upside down. - For you will light my lamp, Yahweh.
My God will light up my darkness. - Seek Yahweh, all you humble of the land, who have kept his ordinances. Seek righteousness. Seek humility. It may be that you will be hidden in the day of Yahweh’s anger.
- For he will never be shaken.
The righteous will be remembered forever.
