- The Lord is righteous in all his ways
and merciful in everything he does. - O Lord, hear my prayer,
incline your ear to my supplications.
In your faithfulness respond to me
with your righteousness. - The way of the Lord is a stronghold for the upright,
but destruction for evildoers. - He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress, so that I stand ever unshaken. - The Lord loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is filled with his kindness. - So shall my word be
that issues forth from my mouth.
It will not return to me unfulfilled,
but it will accomplish my purpose
and achieve what I sent it forth to do. - Keep falsehood and lying far from me;
give me neither poverty nor riches,
but simply provide me with the food that I need. - God is faithful, and it is by him that you have been called into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
- Return to me, says the Lord of hosts, and I will return to you, says the Lord of hosts.

I will come to you. - Every word you utter is true,
and all your righteous judgments are everlasting. - Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

to his servants, the prophets. - This saying can be trusted:
If we have died with him,
we shall also live with him. - I am now about to go the way of all upon the earth. You know very well in your hearts and your souls that not one of the good things that the Lord, your God, promised you has failed to take place. Every promise has been fulfilled, not one of them has been broken.
- For who is God except the Lord?
Who is a rock aside from our God? - Teach me your ways, O Lord,
so that I may walk in your truth;
let me worship your name
with an undivided heart. - Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not a single letter, not even a tiny portion of a letter, will disappear from the Law until all things have been accomplished.
- Rend your hearts and not your garments,
and turn back to the Lord, your God.
For he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, rich in kindness,
and always prepared to relent from punishing. - A truthful witness does not lie,
but a false witness lies incessantly. - You shall not kill. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false witness. Honor your father and your mother. Love your neighbor as yourself.
- May the Lord, our God, be with us, just as he was with our fathers; may he not leave us or abandon us.
- The Lord abhors lying lips,
but he delights in those who are truthful.
