- God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble. - Even to your old age, I am He,
And even to gray hairs I will carry you!
I have made, and I will bear;
Even I will carry, and will deliver you. - Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
- For the Lord loves justice,
And does not forsake His saints;
They are preserved forever,
But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off. - For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”
- The Lord is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.
- And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.
- Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.
- And those who know Your name will put their trust in You;
For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You. - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
- But “he who glories, let him glory in the Lord.” For not he who commends himself is approved, but whom the Lord commends.
- For the word of the Lord is right,
And all His work is done in truth. - For Your mercy reaches unto the heavens,
And Your truth unto the clouds. - If I say, “My foot slips,”
Your mercy, O Lord, will hold me up. - In all labor there is profit,
But idle chatter leads only to poverty. - “For the mountains shall depart
And the hills be removed,
But My kindness shall not depart from you,
Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,”
Says the Lord, who has mercy on you. - You who love the Lord, hate evil!
He preserves the souls of His saints;
He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. - He is the Rock, His work is perfect;
For all His ways are justice,
A God of truth and without injustice;
Righteous and upright is He. - Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “None of My words will be postponed any more, but the word which I speak will be done,” says the Lord God.’
- Let your eyes look straight ahead,
And your eyelids look right before you. - He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler. - Do not withhold Your tender mercies from me, O Lord;
Let Your lovingkindness and Your truth continually preserve me. - The grass withers, the flower fades,
But the word of our God stands forever. - Let Your mercy, O Lord, be upon us,
Just as we hope in You. - Hear my prayer, O Lord,
Give ear to my supplications!
In Your faithfulness answer me,
And in Your righteousness.
