“No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners. Purify your hearts, you double-minded. | Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. |
Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy. | Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy. |
Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. But let justice roll on like rivers, and righteousness like a mighty stream. | But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream. |
Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed. Defend the fatherless. Plead for the widow. | Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. |
For in it is revealed God’s righteousness from faith to faith. As it is written, “But the righteous shall live by faith.” | For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. |
Therefore you are without excuse, O man, whoever you are who judge. For in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself. He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God? | He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? |
For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears open to their prayer; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. | For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. |
Better is a little with righteousness, than great revenues with injustice. | Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right. |
For Christ is the fulfillment of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. | For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. |
All chastening seems for the present to be not joyous but grievous; yet afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. | Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. |
Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? But now apart from the law, a righteousness of God has been revealed, being testified by the law and the prophets; even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ to all and on all those who believe. With his mouth the godless man destroys his neighbor, but the righteous will be delivered through knowledge. | An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered. |
For Yahweh is our judge. Yahweh is our lawgiver. Yahweh is our king. He will save us. | For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; he will save us. |
He loves righteousness and justice. The earth is full of the loving kindness of Yahweh. | He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. |
In you, Yahweh, I take refuge. Let me never be disappointed. Deliver me in your righteousness. | In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness. |
